Dr. Crist led this project to assist the Georgia Department of Natural Resources coastal program with funding from the State of Georgia and Woodruff Foundation.  Team consisted of NatureServe scientists and GIS specialist, State DNR staff, and large number of partner organizations providing data, ecological expertise, policy knowledge, etc. via working groups. The project integrated data and expert knowledge into a technology toolkit using NatureServe Vista and conducted regional gap analyses and scenario-based assessments leading to regional conservation prioritization. This was followed by pilot applications with two county governments to demonstrate application for local scale land use planning.
